Telecommunications engineers fit and maintain phone and internet systems.

 Telecoms engineers introduce, test and repair interchanges systems. This incorporates fixed line and mobile telephone networks, copper wire and fiber-optic cabling and computerized satellite frameworks. Work could include: 

  • Installing, connecting and testing cabling 
  • Diagnosing and fixing faults in systems 
  • Working with ethereal gear and related hardware 
  • Introducing portable and static receiving wires on structures or poles 
  • Planning, building and testing media communications parts and hardware.
